Jim's Jog is a 5K Run/Walk to benefit Team Fox, the grassroots fundraising arm of the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research. The third annual event will begin at 9 a.m. on September 10th, 2016; please arrive promptly in order to ensure sufficient time to pick up all necessary materials. It will be held at Spruce Run Recreation Area, 68 Van Syckels Road, Clinton, NJ 08809. Jim's Jog was created in loving memory of James J. "Jim" Fielding, Jr., a beloved son, father of 9, grandfather of 16, and great-grandfather of 1. He was an Air Force veteran who served in WWII, an avid tennis-player, and a dog lover. Jim suffered with Parkinson's disease for over a decade of his life; however, he refused to be defined solely by his symptoms, continuing to do the things he loved in the capacity available to him. On April 1st, 2014, Jim passed away at the age of 92 due to complications of Parkinson's disease. He lived a long and fruitful life filled with happiness, love, and fun, and was an inspiration to all who met him.
